Emotional Regulation for Success is a project I am very passionate about. Since the pandemic the studentâs social-emotional/behavioral needs have increased significantly. Many students report they are anxious, overwhelmed, or overstimulated while in the classroom, resulting in a significant negative impact in the educational environment. These students use the schoolâs sensory room daily to calm down and regroup before returning to class. In addition, our building houses 4 AIM programs for students with mild cognitive impairments. Many of these students require daily sensory input by utilizing the sensory room or other sensory supplies in their classroom. This grant will help purchase sensory items and other materials to promote self-regulation for all students in the school.
