At Westerman Preschool, we services students from 3-5yrs old with our Head Start/GSRP and Early Childhood Special Education Classrooms. Children also within the community come to our building for speech, OT, PT, and teacher services. As apart of our program, we strive for students to build a strong foundation of communication, whether it is verbal, nonverbal (picture, sign, etc), or a combination of both. As a part of the grant program, we wish to purchase an outside communication board for our playground. Students would be able to access this and use as apart of their communication with peers and adults while outside. Teachers and therapists would also be able to use this with students, creating new opportunities for learning and generalization of skills.
