My project will create a welcoming and engaging 2nd grade classroom designed to support both academic growth and social-emotional learning. The funds will be used to revamp the space with flexible seating options, calming lighting, sensory tools, and organized book storage that promotes student choice and independence. This environment will help students feel safe, focused, and motivated to learn by providing spaces for collaboration as well as quiet reflection. By transforming the classroom into a warm, student-centered setting, I aim to reduce distractions, improve self-regulation, and increase engagement in reading, math, and social-emotional lessons. A thoughtfully designed classroom will ensure that every child has a space where they feel comfortable, valued, and ready to succeed.
