We are seeking grant funding to purchase and stock mobile reading carts that will bring high-quality books and literacy resources directly to students throughout our school. These carts will provide convenient, consistent access to engaging, age-appropriate reading materials in classrooms, small-group learning areas, and reading intervention spaces. Many students face barriers to consistent access to books that match their reading levels, interests, and learning needs. Mobile reading carts will help address these barriers by making books more accessible and giving students additional opportunities to read, explore new genres, and develop a lifelong love of reading. The carts will be stocked with a diverse collection of high-interest fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels, early chapter books, and other reading materials that appeal to a variety of student interests and abilities. By bringing books directly to students, teachers can more easily incorporate reading into daily instruction.
