Our Classroom serves students with autism and other cognitive disabilities who benefit from sensory supports to help them regulate their emotions, increase focus, and fully engage in learning. This project will provide essential sensory items-such as fidget tools, weighted lap pads, noice-canceling headphones, calming lighting, and tactile objects-to create a supportive learning environment.By incorporating these sensory tools into daily routines, students will have positive outlets to manage overstimulation, anxiety, or restlessness. These resources will not only support individual regulation but also foster greater participation, attention, and academic success. The sensory items purchased through this grant will transform our classroom into a space where students feel safe, calm, and ready to learn-helping them build confidence, independence, and a stronger sense of belonging at school.
