Science in preschool is essential because it builds on children's natural curiosity about the world around them. Young learners constantly ask questions, explore and experiment. Simple activities such as observing a plant grow, mixing colors, or watching how water moves help children develop a foundation for scientific thinking while sparking their sense of wonder. Beyond learning facts, science in preschool supports key developmental skills. When children make predictions, test ideas and share observations, they practice reasoning, problem solving and language development. Science activities also encourage cooperation and teach children how to work as a team. More importantly, hands-on exploration shows children that mistakes are part of learning, building persistence and resilience. I am looking to purchase materials for my discovery center, sensory table and light table. I will also plan different experiments for my students to discover and explore.
