My "Play IS Learning" classroom grant will provide my kindergarten students with hands-on materials that make learning joyful, engaging, and meaningful. The funds will be used to create intentional play-based learning opportunities that support literacy, math, science, problem-solving, creativity, communication, and social-emotional development. Students will use manipulatives, building materials, dramatic-play resources, games, art supplies, and STEM materials to explore concepts, practice skills, collaborate with classmates, and learn through discovery. In kindergarten, play is not separate from learning, it is how children make sense of the world and develop important academic and life skills. These resources will help me create a classroom where students can learn by doing, experimenting, imagining, and creating while building confidence and a lifelong love of learning.
