Our students with emotional impairments will run a âKindness Kartâ business in our school to build imperative social and math skills, as well as share their incredible little hearts. They will help choose, purchase and make items our staff would enjoy âbuyingâ based on a budget, and give staff members a set amount of âkindness kashâ to spend throughout the year. Our students will visit the staff approximately 2 times a month with their Kindness Kart. Each staff member will tell our students what their budget is for the day and our students will suggest items that fit their budget. In addition, we hope to have staff from our Administration building and high school student leadership teams visit the Kindness Kart at scheduled times throughout the year. Going forward, we are working on developing Kindness T-shirts to sell through a virtual store to staff, parents, neighbors, etc. district wide, to create an ongoing source of income to fund our Kindness Kart for years to come.
