As a high school biology teacher, I want my students to experience science beyond the textbook. With the Classroom Cash Grant, I will purchase supplies for hands-on lab experiments and interactive models that help students better understand life processes. For example, students will grow plants to study photosynthesis, investigate cell cycle checkpoints, and explore local biodiversity through specimen kits. How I Will Use the Grant:Lab kits for studying genetics, cells, and ecosystemsMicroscopes and slides for plant and animal tissue studiesClassroom models (DNA, cell, and organ systems)Simple supplies for experiments (seeds, soil, pH kits, petri dishes, etc.)Why This Project Matters:Many of my students learn best when they can see and touch biology in action. These resources will help them connect classroom lessons to the living world around them, making science engaging and accessible.
