As a first grade teacher, my goal is to create a classroom where every child feels supported and challenged as they grow into confident readers. My students are bright, eager, and full of potential, but our school does not have a library, and many of my students do not have access to quality books at home. Additionally, a significant potion of my class consists of ELLs who need engaging and differentiated resources to support their literacy journey. This project will allow me to set up rotating literacy centers stocked with engaging, leveled materials that meet students at their individual reading levels. These centers will make learning active, hands-on, and equitable for every scholar in my classroom. By funding this project, you will help transform my classroom into a literacy-rich environment where every child has the resources and support they need to grow as a reader. Together, we can close gaps, celebrate diversity, and create a strong foundation for academic success.
