The SPHERObots: Rolling Into STEM initiative will provide middle school students with hands-on opportunities to explore coding, robotics, engineering, and scientific problem-solving through the use of four programmable Sphero BOLT robots.Through engaging, collaborative challenges, students will learn to design algorithms, program robotic movements, collect and analyze data, troubleshoot errors, and improve their designs. These experiences will help students connect classroom science and mathematics concepts to real-world applications of technology and engineering.Grant funding will be used to purchase four Sphero BOLT robots, creating a reusable classroom resource that can support multiple grade levels, science units, and STEM challenges for years to come.
