Electronics supplies will allow Physics II lab groups to quantitatively investigate circuits that we first investigate qualitatively. Wire strippers, multimeters, and ring terminals on wires would all empower students with quantitative experiences they can use in their future. I’m also asking for rechargeable D batteries for an environmentally conscious, and more cost- effective way to power our circuit experiments. All of the items requested would be used on a daily basis to heighten intrigue for inquisitive young scientists.Wind-up toys will allow my Physics 1 lab groups to model various constant velocities on a smaller scale before heading into the lab area. This orients students to what they will see on a larger scale in the lab area with the battery cars. The bird’s eye/fly-over/ top view of a wind-up toy motion pattern frontloads the gross motor ticker tape pattern of the battery cars. We use wind- up toys daily.
