At Rodgers Elementary, we are looking to expand our sensory room. We have many students within our building who utilize this room daily to regulate, de-escalate, or find a safe space within their school day. At this time, we are finding an increased number of students who are benefiting from activities that promote cognitive, social, and motor skill development. This space would offer stimulation and relaxation tools, such as lights, textures, and movement equipment, to help students. Through the help of this grant, we are hoping to expand the tools that are available to students and help them meet an incredibly important need in order to succeed within their environment.
