Use of locally collected data to drive mathematical instruction. Data derived from a weather collection station will be used in a statistics class and in Algebra classes. After analysis the data will be applied to construction of microclimate planting areas in a school courtyard herb garden. Upon completion of the planting beds, sensors will be used to measure temperature and soil moisture for optimal plant growth.
