During our reading nonfiction unit, students would have an opportunity to adopt, track, research, and present an animal. This grant would go towards using the company Fahlo where each student will receive an animal plush that comes with a tracking code. Each student will be able to follow along with where their animal moves, learn background information about their animal, and will be able to learn more about that species which they would use to research and present a project. Not only will this be a great opportunity for my 5th graders, but it will support a great cause by donating to protect at-risk animals.
