This grant proposal seeks funding for high-quality supplemental materials that integrate science and social studies themes into English Language Arts (ELA) instruction. The goal is to deepen student engagement, improve literacy skills, and build background knowledge across content areas by weaving nonfiction texts and inquiry-based learning into daily ELA lessons. These resources will support our schoolÃÂÃÂÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs mission to cultivate curious, informed, and literate learners who are prepared to think critically about the world around them. As informational text becomes increasingly vital in academic standards and testing, students must develop the ability to read, comprehend, and analyze nonfiction content. Our new curriculum weaves informational text about science and social studies topics that are sometimes hard for students to engage with.
