I teach 9th grade math at Dakota High Schoolâs 9th Grade Center, where students use graphing calculators daily. However, our current devices are mismatched models with varying functions, requiring separate teaching strategies and causing confusion. Many also show signs of corrosion from old batteries, making them unreliable despite replacements. This grant will help fund rechargeable TI-84 Plus CE calculators, ensuring consistency, reliability, and equitable access. With updated tools, students can focus on learning rather than troubleshooting, improving engagement and long-term success in math.
