My classroom cash grant project includes transforming how and what my students do for morning work. Currently my students come into the classroom and complete a worksheet each day. If awarded this grant, I would like to spend time each morning allowing my students to work in small groups with hands on materials. These materials will require collaboration and critical thinking allowing my students develop critical skills. The grant would provide funding to purchase storage shelves, bins, and materials. The materials will be cross curricular items such as math manipulatives, building systems, word work activities, and STEM materials.
