Our school has utilized Title I funding to implement UFLI Foundations, an explicit and systematic program that teaches students the foundational skills necessary for proficient reading. It follows a carefully developed scope and sequence designed to ensure that students systematically acquire each skill needed and learn to apply each skill with automaticity and confidence. The lessons are interactive and highly engaging. Students use a variety of materials to decode and encode words and experience joyful reading success. We would love to purchase cookie baking sheets to complete the collection of necessary materials for our students to fully participate in the UFLI Foundations lessons.
