Motivating Our Makers!
School: Wiley Elementary
Through hands-on discovery, learners build with a purpose and engage in creative thinking and problem-solving skills in a Maker's Space. A deeper level of learning evolves from their interactions with different objects and tools as they design, review, test and reflect on their projects. However, developing a Makers Space requires a variety of materials to provide these experiences. Our Makers Space is in the beginning stages of growth, and we need more materials. To continue growth in engineering, technology, science and math, I would like to spend this grant money to buy materials and manipulatives for our Maker's Space to spark innovation, imagination and interest in our future leaders. Look out world, here they come!
