School: Kaiser Elementary
The students in my early childhood special education class are in need of new toys and materials to keep their busy little hands moving! The students in my class range from age 2 to 6. The large age range requires the classroom to have many materials that will meet the developmental needs of all of the students. Fine motor toys, sensory materials, and an assortment of manipulatives would benefit the students greatly! Some specific examples include water beads, sensory sand, and compression/weighted vests. The classroom would also benefit greatly from Velcro, laminating sheets, and card-stock to create communication symbols for the non-verbal communicators.
