Raised Beds for Kindergarten Growers would provide 2 raised beds, soil, gloves and kid friendly tools that my classroom would use to plant and raise flowers and herbs. During our science unit we will learn about variations in seeds, what seeds need to grow and then choose our plants and watch them grow. The project culminates in students sampling herbs and taking home a choice flower or herb. Students plant and cooperate to tend to our garden. Raised beds will help our young growers see things at eye level and help keep animals away from our plants.
