Rest time is required for GSRP. However, not all children sleep. Some children need additional activities to help them rest while others are sleeping. The GSRP is an income based program for 4 year old children. The money will be used for quiet boxes and rest time items that parents may struggle to purchase. The rest items would include blankets and a pillow with a story pocket for each child. Other items would be used to make quiet bins. Inside the quiet bins are activities for children that do not sleep. The supplies needed are burlap, plastic needles, yarn, large plastic buttons, pipe cleaners, foam blocks, stickers, beads and bins. These materials will assist in the entire classroom having a successful and peace filled rest time.
