Exploring Science in Preschool
I am looking to purchase items for our sensory table, light table and discovery table. These areas are becoming more popular in our classroom and I have very limited materials. I would love to purchase real items for our discovery table for the children to explore (real butterfly wings, a real turtle shell etc.). For our sensory table I would like to purchase things like kinetic sand, water toys, rice, pasta and other items for students to explore and develop fine motor skills. Our light table was purchased through a grant and now we are in need of different translucent items to use on the table. Some examples include translucent counters, sorting trays, alphabet and number manipulatives and the list goes on! Preschoolers learn through the exploration of real, hands on materials. The materials purchased with this money would help reinforce fine motor skills, letter and number identification, science concepts and so much more!
