Any money received from an MSGCU grant would be used towards the production of our campus tour video through the Reach and Teach Rocks competition. This competition is student led and encourages creative thinking and real world application through video creation. Students previously competed in this competition during the 2023-2024 school year and earned first runner up. The students collaborated fully and were extremely passionate about the project, but it was quite evident why we did not win. We did not have a budget for this project, and many necessities for creating video content were not available for us. Students did not have microphones nor proper lighting, so segments in the video were often difficult to hear and see. The grant money would be extremely helpful leverage to catapult our video creation to the next level. Microphones would be purchased, and we would also like to purchase adequate lighting and possibly a green screen.
