I am a new Kindergarten teacher with 8 years of teaching experience. I inherited a room that was bare of many indoor play toys and manipulatives for creative thinking and learning. As this is a new grade for me, I had very little personal inventory to provide my classroom. I am requesting the funds to fill my room with STEM tools for problem solving, dramatic play items such as baby dolls, "store items", dress-up, and fine motor tools such as tweezers, clothespins, mini-erasers, number matching tools, letter matching tools, coloring supplies, etc. I (along with the help of family) have put in hours of personal time and hundreds of dollars to provide the few creative tools and toys for student use. I have painted my room with personal funds to create a welcoming environment for my students. My goal is to provide a safe, fun, creative, learning environment that leaves my students excited for the next day of coming to school for learning!
