This year we would like to bring the news of the world to our students at Bentley, from our students at Bentley! Our fourth grade classes will engage in a critical study of current events presented in Scholastic News. Students will read with the intent to discern the main idea and the most important information out of the articles. They will then become news anchors and record a newscast to share with the school. Students will practice language skills as they must be sure to use captivating words, but also stay direct and to the point to keep the interest of their audience. Fourth graders study persuasive writing as well as how to write to their audience and this project will be an interesting and relevant way to make a big impact across Bentley school!
