Video Production is an elective class offered to Everett students in grades 9-12. During this course, students work together with their classmates in collaborative, project-based learning small groups to explore topics of interest, learn how inquiry drives production, and create original 21st century technology projects. Using mobile devices, computers, audio and video filmmaking equipment, editing software, and apps students will learn about all phases of video production through hands-on teaching and learning experiences. The focus of this class is on creative content design and developmentâmainly, how we build products that are memorable, functional, and economical. Video Production operates as a content creation agency x writerâs room x news studio, with a workshop mentality and focus. Projects are real-world, emphasize fundamentals and techniques found in design best-practices, and immerse students in work that prepares them for careers involving inquiry-based problem solving.
