Updating Graphing Calculators
School: Heritage Junior High
The graphing calculators are roughly 15 years old. Students have taken care of them, but now many of them are not functional - the majority due to battery corrosion. Every year, we take the batteries out and store the calculators over the summer and put them back in once the school year begins. Even though this is true, the batteries have corroded during the school year rendering many calculators unusable. We would like to get TI-84 plus graphing calculators that are rechargeable instead of using AAA batteries. These calculators are a tool many students will use. Students will use them as they learn about function families and relationships that exist.
