Baby Think it Over Essentials
School: Romeo High School
The goal of my project is multifaceted. The first is to provide teens with real life situations in which infant care is required. Each student must care for their baby for four days and three nights. They will be educated in real time about the immediate care needs including feeding, changing, rocking, etc. In addition, infant safety is learned from real life experience. These babies have neck support sensors as well as car seat sensors for travel. They can also detect if the parent has neglected the baby's basic needs. . It can track care events, abuse, surrounding temperatures, time in a car seat, and clothing changes. This unique learning aid will add meaning and accountability to teach early childhood, parenting, and infant health and care lessons. Additionally, the baby simulator experience creates a learning experience that is relevant and career-driven. This also not only aligns with content standards, but gives the students real life experience while learning each standard.
