ZSpace computers give students an exciting, enriching and hands-on way of learning science content in a virtual reality environment. This grant will allow me to purchase 2 apps, Newton's Park and Franklins Lab, that will run in the ZSpace environment and allow 8th and 9th grade science students to use ZSpace computers to create virtual reality learning environments in the areas of life science, physical science and earth and space science. Students will be able to view, interact with, dissect, and/or change and manipulate different variables in a 3-dimensional setting. The ZSpace computer and associated tools will give students the ability to examine scientific structures, analyze relationships of different related scientific factors and create and/or manipulate scientific models that help explain the âwhyâ of a scientific phenomenon being studied. This grant will provide indepth science learning for all students in a creative, innovative and highly engaging manner!
