Over the course of the semester, students were given a series of prompts that encouraged them to brainstorm, reflect, and write about different parts of their lives. Every ten days or so, they completed a new chapter and submitted their narratives for review. This process allowed them to revise and polish each chapter, giving them the opportunity to make their writing the best it could be. By the end, each student had created a meaningful keepsake to take with them as they left high school. Before submitting their final drafts, students ensured their work conformed to the required template for publication. They also designed a unique cover for their Memory Book, each one a reflection of their individual personalities. I was truly impressed with the time, effort, and creativity they put into this project. The students who completed their book covers and submitted their polished narratives were proud of what they had accomplished, and rightfully so.
