Math Manipulatives- Make Math Fun With Groups
School: Richmond Middle School
My name is Kristina Walla and this is my first year as a full-time Middle School Teacher. When I was in Middle School myself, I knew I wanted to teach. I saw how most of my teachers really cared about how students succeeded and I wanted to be a part of that. I am applying to this grant because I do not have as many supplies as I would like to have in my classroom. I am grateful for what I have been given from gifts from family, friends and teachers that have left items behind. I feel as if I am directly in the middle of having a successful classroom for my students. I am in the need of supplies for my classroom and manipulatives. If I were to have these items they would be reused for the next 30+ years and passed on to the next teacher. The materials/manipulatives for lessons would be, but limited to meter sticks, poster paper, tape measures, pattern blocks, base ten blocks, straws, geometric solids, counting chips, graph paper, etc. Thank you for your time and consideration.
