Minione provides a kit to allow students to run a gel electrophoresis in class. This grant would allow me to purchase two machines. My goal would be to have AP Biology students run the gel electrophoresis to gain a better understanding of DNA. In addition, I would have my 10th grade Biology students interpret the results as well.
