The Environmental Science class is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the pond, which serves as a central feature of the school district's nature center. This natural resource provides habitat for a variety of plant and animal species and is used in student research projects focusing on water quality, aquatic life, and environmental conservation.With a 3D printer, students will be able to fabricate custom tools such as fishing lures, water-testing devices, and habitat structures. This technology will give students the ability to adapt their tools based on ongoing fieldwork needs, as well as the opportunity to design innovative solutions for environmental challenges.
