Hello! I teach a wonderful group of active 3rd graders. The opportunity of this grant would allow for flexible seating options for the students. Specifically, instead of the standard hard plastic stationary chairs, the grant would be used to purchase wobble stools and balance ball seats to provide more comfort and seating options to best meet my students' needs. My goal is to provide a learning environment that helps students stay engaged, comfortable, and able to move. I have a classroom of diverse student needs, activity levels, and learning styles. Offering a variety of seating choices will help my students take ownership of their personal comfort and movement preferences. I have seen through firsthand experiences of increased student engagement and focus when allowed a variety of seating choices for the day. My goal is success for my students and by providing them with an optimal physical environment, we can enhance our daily learning. Thank you for this opportunity.
