Hello! This is my third year teaching preschool for Lakeview Public Schools. This grant is an amazing opportunity to provide kiddos with so many classroom learning experiences. When I began three years ago I was started out with the bare essentials of what was needed to create a good learning environment. With this grant availability each year I have been able to add in things I couldn't personally purchase to create a great learning environment! This year we are looking to add to our dramatic play and block/building area. At the preschool age, play is the basis of learning. Having the ability to change out these centers and have materials in them to utilize the littles ones imagination helps to express themselves, create real life scenarios, and not to mention helps build life skills such as cooperation and socialization among peers. I know that each and every one of my 62 amazing little friends would love the opportunity of this grant to enable them to achieve all of this and more!!
