Games for literacy

School: Richmond Middle School

Teacher: Turpin

Share:

I would like to purchase board games and supplies to create games for my middle school students that would reinforce literacy concepts we learn about in language arts. The games would help students practice things like context clues by reading and answering story cards to help them find pirate gold, or practice inferencing skills by racing their classmates through a board game. Games help students engage with the content in a different way than the traditional classroom model and creates new connections in the brain that might not occur without repeated practice.
